President and Co-founder of Care Alternative
Programs & Services, Mr. Nino plays a key role as marketing and sales
liaison via
his long-term relationships with prominent groups,
associations and charitable organizations here in the US, as well as
abroad. In
addition to his executive responsibilities with Care
Alternative Products & Services, Mr. Niño is also President of El Niño Group,
Ltd., an international business development and financial Services Company based out of Washington, DC, with it’s clients spanning
the Western Hemisphere. Mr. Nino’s Projects include: Hispanic community outreach, association management (membership service solutions),
Mezzanine and Trade Financing, Environmental Solutions (emissions reduction, waste-to-energy pyrolytic gasification co-generators),
Telecom (Wireless, LD, Local, ISP, Pre-Paid and Remittance Solutions), Specialty Metals (aluminum, cold roll steel, tin plate, galvanize,
etc.), Warehousing, Transportation, Cutting Tools (commodities management-- to the Auto Industry), Health Care (medical discount programs,
body repatriation, and accident insurance), Consulting.
Mr. Nino has many years of experience in working with Entrepreneurs, The Federal
Government, Corporate America, and the Hispanic and Ethnic
Community. Mr. Nino is a current Board Member of the US Mexico Chamber
of Commerce (USMCOC). For eight years Mr. Nino was President and Chief Executive Officer of the United States Hispanic Chambers of
Commerce (USHCC). He expanded the operations and the profile of the Chamber to a significant force within the US economy, while institutionalizing
and endowing its programs for perpetual growth. The USHCC is the preeminent Hispanic business organization representing the interests
of more than 1.3 million Hispanic-owned businesses in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Throughout its network of nearly 250 Hispanic chambers
of commerce and business associations nationwide, the USHCC actively promotes the economic growth and development of Hispanic entrepreneurs.
Mr. Niño serves on the National Executive Committee for the Boy Scouts f
America (Silver Buffalo Award 2003), Chairman of the “BSA”
Soccer in
Scouting, Chairman of the Food /Procurement Group for the 2005 BSA National Jamboree, and is Former Chairman of the Scoutreach
Committee (1998-2003), which markets scouting to the rural and urban communities across America. He is President/CEO of the new Basilica
de Guadalupe Foundation in established in Washington DC. He serves on the boards of The Washington Center for Internships and Academic
Studies, the Hispanic Council on International Relations and the Presidential Classroom. He is a former advisory board member for
small business of the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank and was a Hispanic Business Advisor to President George H Bush, George W Bush,
and to officials of the Clinton Administration.
CEO and Founder of Care Alternative Programs & Services which offers a portfolio of niche insurance and saving card programs and
services direct to the consumer, as well as strategic marketing partners. The programs include: Medical Discount, Medical Accident
(Emergency Room) benefits, and recently added Repatriation-Life Insurance policies for Families, Groups and Organizations. CANA has
offices in Mount Arlington, NJ, Washington, DC and Dallas TX.
Mr. Silver is the former President, Creative Concepts Benefits Groups,
Inc., an insurance brokerage agency with individual and group benefits including: life, health, dental, as well as, Medical Discount
Programs for individuals, families, groups and charitable organizations.
Prior to Creative Concepts Benefits Group, Mr. Silver spent
18 years as a
multi-state licensed life and health insurance broker and has held key
managerial positions with Met Life, The NIA Group
and David Macgregor
Company.
Mr. Silver has been active with several associations and charities on a local and national level. He
served two-year terms as Vice President on the Executive Board of Directors for National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI),
as well as an associate member for National Towing Alliance (NTA).
Mr. Silver’s mission statement for Care Alternative Products &
Services is to introduce, educate and train an internal sales division within the infrastructure of each affiliated organization.
This process allows their members and associates the opportunity to offer the Care Alternative portfolio of valueadded products and
services, while creating a revenue generating fundraising resource for each organization.
Sports Marketing Division of Care Alternative Product & Services, Mr. Nelson was the starting right tackle for the Super
Bowl XXI Champion NY Giants. He was drafted by the Giants in 1983 in the 3rd round. Karl was on injured reserve for the 1983 season
with tore ligaments in his ankle. He started 55
straight games from 1984 to 1986, ending with the Super Bowl. He made the All Rookie
team in 1984. Karl played every offensive play during the 1986 Super Bowl season, the only player to do this.
In training camp of
1987, Karl was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease and missed the 1987 season while receiving 43 radiation treatments. He came back and
played the 1988 season but was re-diagnosed with Hodgkin’s at the end of the 1988 year. He underwent 7 months of chemo. Karl formally
retired from the Giants after the 1989 season. Karl has been cancer free since 1989.
Karl worked as a color analyst for FOX football
broadcast in 1995. He was the color analyst for Giants radio broadcasts in 1987, from 1989 to 1994, and again in 2007.
Karl is currently
a 401(k) specialist, working in that field since his retirement from football in 1990. He is currently one of the leading producers
in the country for ING, being named a Top-Producer by the company in 2006.
Raising money for charities is very important to Karl. He
attends over 50 charity events a year for organizations such as Tomorrows Children’s Fund, Ocean of Love, The American Cancer Society,
Muscular Dystrophy Association, and ALS research. Karl has also co-authored of two books,
Life on the Line, and Playing the Offensive
Line with both forwards written by his former coach, Bill Parcells.
Karl graduated from Iowa State University in 1983 with a BS in
Industrial Engineering. While there he started 43 straight games for the Cyclones and was named NEA All-American and Academic All-American.
Karl grew up in DeKalb, Illinois and currently resides in Montvale, NJ.

sales, marketing and distribution in the new media space. She has held senior executive positions with NBC Cable, CBS/Viacom
cable, FutureVision/Bell Atlantic, StreamSearch.com and TelQuest Satellite Services.
An entrepreneurial start up specialist,
Kathryn was instrumental in developing the first 3 channel pay-per-view Olympics for NBC – the Olympic TripleCast, she also helped
to develop a satellite TV venture which was purchased by Worldcom, created and launched the first interactive cable network
– IntroNet, purchased by Lenfest Communications and worked on the first ad supported online video service – StreamSearch where
she built strategic alliances with NBC, NHL, Starz Encore, Universal Studios, and the Sundance Film Festival. She also created
and launched two online video channels; FitnessOnDemand TV and Resort Spa & Travel TV.
Kathryn has negotiated and closed
distribution deals with all of the major cable TV operators: Comcast, Time Warner, Cablevision, Cox, Insight, Charter and online video
suppliers blinkx, Joost, MyLibrary DV, and VEOH.
Ms. Strachan has consulted several start ups; online eTicketing , a Vietnamese
language cable network and triple play, a male oriented consumer health product and the Dominican Sports & Education Academy
Kathryn
is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BA in Communications and is active in her community as the leader of the beach
erosion control committee for the Fairfield Beach Residents Association.
